Rishi Kumar is a graduate from Delhi College of Art, New Delhi, in Applied Art. He has worked as an artist and illustrator with various reputed advertising and publishing companies.
He established AAN Publishers, a creative company, that focuses on making graphic novel on war & real heroes of the Indian Armed Forces. He also works as a free- lance illustrator.
He has authored and illustrated two well – researched,historically accurate graphic stories, on Siachen Glacier Conflict: “Siachen-The Cold War” and “Battlefield-Siachen.”
There are thirty one others titles on war heroes and gallantry award winners of Maha Vir Chakra and Ashok Chakra during war and peace times. AAN Publishers has published titles both in English and Hindi languages. Many more are in the offing.
The LIMCA Book of National Records-2016 has acknowledged his initiative and achievement in bringing out real-life illustrated stories meant to create awareness about the history of military operations showcasing courage, valour, dedication to duty of brave Indian soldiers who have sacrificed their present for our tomorrow and for whom the country comes first always and every time.
Rishi Kumar has his own team of illustrators, colourist, dialogue writer and editor.
After having seen his work on Siachen Glacier conflict, the Additional Directorate General of Public Information, Directorate General of Military Intelligence. The Integrated HQ of Ministry of Defence (Army), South Block, New Delhi, has facilitated the publication on gallantry award winners and other military operations as part of their perception management effort to bring gallantry award winners into the public consciousness.
