Havildar Joginder Singh, a tough veteran of World War 2 was posted to Nagaland along with his unit, 2 Sikh, to deal with the insurgents.

In one of the operations he was tasked to deliver much needed supplies to forward Army posts. The unit acquired info of an impending attack on these forward posts. Therefore it became imperative that the supplies reach these posts and Joginder was entrusted to deliver them. The route to the posts was dangerous and could lead to an ambush, despite all that the brave JCO led the convoy because he knew that failure would have been catastrophic…
