Subedar Tika Bahadur Thapa – Maha Vir Chakra Awardee 1965 War

Tika Bahadur Thapa was the senior JCO of 4/8 Gorkha Rifles. He was given the job to clear the area which had been encroached upon by the Pakistani forces after the cease-fir in Thapa displayed exemplary courage and leadership in stopping further advancement of enemy for which he was awarded Maha Vir Chakra, the second highest award for bravery in war time.
