The first two books introduced by AAN Publishers relate to Siachen glacier conflict, namely, Siachen-The Cold War which explains the genesis of the conflict between India and Pakistan. It also covers operation, ‘Meghdoot’, which was launched by the Indian Army in April 1984 to secure the Siachen glacier after Pakistan occupied the heights at Siachen.
The action-packed sequel, “Battlefield-Siachen,” brings to life the intense fighting that took place on Siachen glacier-the highest battleground in the world and covers “Operation Rajeev”, ‘Capture of Quaid Post’ ,’Battle of Bilafondla’.
Subsequent to two graphic novels on Siachen glacier conflict, AAN Publishers launched four graphic stories on Maha Vir Chakra awardees on the occasion of the golden jubilee commemoration of Indo-Pak War of 1965, followed by comic books series on Ashok Chakra.
Award winners during counter terrorist and counter-insurgency operations in peacetime. The graphic stories of Ashok Chakra awardees are from different regions of the country who performed daring operations at different times. Many more graphic stories on the Ashok Chakra Awardees are in the pipeline.
AAN Publishers is shortly coming out with a graphic novel on the supporting role of the Indian Airforce during the Kargil conflict of 1991. India has a whole pantheon of gallantry awardees who won Param Vir Chakra, Maha Vir Chakra, Ashok Chakra, Vir Chakra etc., during both war & peace times, offering a tremendous opportunity for bringing out a large number of illustrative books into the public domain about the real-heroes of the Indian Armed Forces whose sagas of courage and heroism will continue to remind us of their self-less service and supreme sacrifices for the nation’s welfare and our safety.
